Nina Williams

The Irish assassin Nina is one of Tekken's most consistent competitors, being one of only four characters to appear in every Tekken game(the other three are ridiculous hair-sporting hardman biker Paul Phoenix, super bad-ass grandad Heihachi and weird-as-fuck Robin-Hood ninja, Yoshimitsu).

Nina has competed in each Tekken tournament from 1 through 4 for the purpose of killing a specific target, preferring to murder them in an elimination-based martial arts tournament rather than a more mundane approach like shooting them from afar. So far, she has attempted to kill Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, Jin Kazama and Steve Fox. As the more observant amongst you may have noticed, these four gents are all alive and well, so Nina may want to rethink her strategy.

Nina is probably best known for her distinct, bone-breaking grapples, her odd liking for the colour purple, and her ferocious hatred for her hussy of a little sister, Anna.  While Nina mostly enters Iron Fist tournaments for the sake of impractical assassination attempts, Anna usually joins up with Nina's opposition to thwart her. Anna aided in Nina's capture and subjection to cryonic sleep, a plot device that allowed Namco to keep Nina young for Tekken 3 despite the game taking place 19 years after 2. Anna volunteered to be frozen too, not liking the idea of aging while her sister stayed young.

Unfortunately for Anna, when Nina awoke most of her memories, including those of Anna, were gone. Happily, by Tekken 5 Nina has regained just enough of her memory to hate Anna again, and the two are content to be at one another's throats once more.

Nina is actually Steve Fox's mother. For God only knows what reason, the mishima zaibatsu decided to impregnate Nina through in-vitro fertilization during her cryo-sleep.
